IQM Germany GmbH
IQM is a Pan-European leader in quantum computers headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Since its inception in 2018, IQM has grown to 180+ employees and has also established subsidiaries in Munich (Germany), Madrid (Spain), and Paris (France). IQM delivers on-premises quantum computers for research laboratories and supercomputing centers and provides complete access to its hardware. For industrial customers, IQM delivers quantum advantage through a unique application-specific co-design approach.
Role within QSolid
IQM, as part of the sub-project within WP 6, will develop effective Hamiltonians for multi-qubit QPU modules in order to precisely model their complete noisy quantum dynamics. In parallel, new theoretical investigations for the execution and evaluation of the benchmarking protocols will be conducted. Furthermore, new theoretical models for superconducting QPUs will be investigated allowing the number of qubits used in the QPU demonstrators to be increased to well over 100.
